MAAS commission nodes

In this video commission all the nodes to MAAS, we deploy one node to a standard Ubuntu image.

Add the MAAS server to your DNS-nameservers list in the /etc/network/interfaces

sudo nano /etc/network/interfaces

Your interfaces file will look like this.

# This file describes the network interfaces available on your system
# and how to activate them. For more information, see interfaces(5).

# The loopback network interface
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

# The primary network interface
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address 192.168.1.150
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.1.1
dns-nameservers 10.1.1.100 192.168.1.1

auto eth1
iface eth1 inet static
address 10.1.1.100
netmask 255.255.255.0

Use history to see all the commands you have entered:
history |more
Use q to quit more

Run this command to enter your cluster controller IP, I changed mine to the private network interface:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure maas-cluster-controller

Change that ip to 10.1.1.100

Login to the node we deployed with SSH
ssh ubuntu@10.1.1.151

Enter yes to accept the key.
